Baton Rouge housing market still strong
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 05/15/2007 - 05:00.April sales figures show Baton Rouge's housing market is still strong and capable of a few surprises.
Home sales in the eight-parish market generally have been leveling off since September, when the first 12-month comparisons began after Hurricane Katrina.
Last month, however, sales rose 2.7 percent, while the dollar volume of those transactions increased 11.4 percent from April 2006, the middle of the post-hurricane boom.
