The rows of town houses at Cottage Park seem to stretch for miles as they curve around Wildcat Run on the northeast end of Gardner. Priced below $140,000, the town houses are some of the most affordable new housing in Johnson County.

Affordable housing is one reason Gardner, Spring Hill and Edgerton continue to grow. The Kansas City housing market in general remains strong despite plunging house values in other parts of the country.
